    Question

Can anyone help me? I need to get that distorted, filtered 'other-end-of-a-phone-conversation' sound for some of my dialogue. What filters could I use from Final Cut Pro? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

well one really easy way to do it would be to record the voices seperately, recording the voice on the other end of the telephone on a really cheap tape recorder. that should give you something close to the sound you're after. just don't turn the volume up to loud or you'll het that "tape recorder hiss"...but that might work if it's a cell phone.... smile

You just need to remember the limited bandwidth of frequency available on the phone.

If you re-sample to, say, 8-bit 8KHz, it should sound more phone like.
